The WRE5500-S is designed to tether directly to a cellular router, modem, module, or alarm panel. For areas with poor cellular connectivity, the WRE5500-S enhances network cellular strength to the router and then back to the cell tower; vital for reliable end-to-end telemetry. The WRE5500-S is the ONLY direct connect amplifier designed with patented fail-safe technologies & field-proven reliability specifically for mission-critical M2M/IoT applications. The Passive RF Bypass is a fail-safe to enable the tethered device to access a network cell signal when the amplifier loses power, or when signal strength is good. No other M2M booster has this feature.
