FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Micro-CAPP(TM) RTS MicroControllerDCI Technologies Inc. Announces New Radio Control SystemMarch 20, 1998 -- Calgary, AB Canada DCI Technologies Inc. announced today the installation of a new micro-controller based product for controlling transparent radio systems. The device is a small half-duplex or unidirectional protocol converter. At its
heart is a micro-controller and a CPLD combination that provides incredible flexibility.
The primary function is to add radio control (RTS/CTS) to a full duplex data stream and is
designed to carry modbus binary protocol over a DATARADIO T96S transparent radio
system. It can be easily adapted to work with EF Johnson 34XX Series, Motorola RNet
9600S, and the MDS 43XX series radios. Two Micro-CAPP RTS devices were installed this month on a S.C.A.D.A. system for a major oil pipeline. The devices are connected to the Host System terminal servers and provide radio control for Dataradio T96S radios. The installation resulted in a significant decrease in system errors and an increase in polling performance. See our Micro-CAPP RTS Page at www.dcitech.com for more Information on this product. DCI Technologies is a privately held Canadian Company dedicated to providing value added expertise in moving and analyzing data.
