| | The OPC Diagnostics Server provides a means to integrate the DATARADIO Online
RF Diagnostics with the end user's OPC/DDE compliant HMI System. Using a
tagged format, the information is treated as standard I/O points which can be
easily tracked, graphed and archived. You can even bring the data live into
MS Excel.
Check out the following screen shot and movie. The movie shows a live
graph of Receive Signal Strength (RSSI) on a radio that has an intermittent
faulty antenna. You will be able to see how the signal strength is varying
rapidly. The application data from the RTU in this case was still being
delivered reliably as the signal strength was sufficient to get data through.
Being able to see this problem before the application data is affected is a
tremendous advantage. Now you can now respond to trouble before a communication loss occurs.

- Q: What radios will the OPC server interface with?
- A: Currently the OPC server is available for the
DATARADIO
Integra TR ,
DATARADIO Integra H and
T96SR
Wireless modems. Custom
applications are possible, please contact us at DCI
Technologies for complete details.
- Q: What operating system is required?
- A: The OPC server is a true 32 bit program. It requires Windows
98/XP, Windows NT or Windows 2000.
- Q: What type of clients does the OPC server Support?
- The OPC Server supports a wide range of clients. It can even support
multiple clients using different interfaces at the same time. Some
supported technologies are OPC, DDE, FastDDE, AdvancedDDE and FIX DMAC.
- Q: What are some host systems that are compatible?
- - CI Technologies Citech
- - GE Fanuc CIMPLICITY
- - Intellution iFix
- - Rockwell Software RSView
- - USDATA FactoryLink
- - Wonderware Intouch and FactorySuite
- - National Instruments Lookout and BridgeView
- - Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and VB
- - Other OPC or DDE compliant software
- Q: What data can I get from the Radio's?
- A1: Integra Family of radios:
